It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Santos Torres, beloved husband of Coach Dee and father of Coach Santos. Mr. Santos was a crucial part of all the behind-the-scenes work at the fields, including field maintenance and our annual Beach Soccer Tournament.

Coach Dee, Coach Santos, and their family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who was a part of Mr. Santos's life, making it a joyful and fulfilling one. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

June 12, 1953 – March 31, 2025   

"No One Will Forget His Laugh and Smile”

Jesus “Santos” Torres, Jr passed away peacefully in his sleep and into the Good Lord's arms on March 31, 2025 at Villa South.  He was born in Corpus Christi, TX, on June 12, 1953 to Santos and Andrea Torres.  Santos was the owner of Torres Ornamental Iron for over 40 years creating beauty with iron for businesses and homeowners throughout the Coastal Bend area.

He attended Carroll High School, married DeeLynn Bost in 1973, and they had one child, Jesus Santos Torres III. With their volunteer work for 45 years with Oso Soccer League, Express Soccer Club, and Coastal Bend Youth Soccer, they were able to enlarge their family with hundreds of players, parents and volunteers.  Not only did Santos serve as a Board Member with soccer, he was a Board Member of the South Texas Remodelers Association.

Service and Volunteerism was his Life's Work due to his Inner Strength. He will always be with us in spirit and his everlasting love.

Viewing Thursday at 6:00 pm, Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, with Rosary at 7:00 pm

Holy Mass Friday at 10:00 am at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church

Funeral Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
